Work/Life Balance at Geico

Geico has its work/life balance just like every other company. You can get a sick time or get a vacation as part of the company’s work/life balance, but sometimes it can be quite challenging trying to use it. At most companies you can use it but not here at Geico.

At Geico, you can only use ten days in a rolling year if you have sick time available, unless it’s fmla which a lot of employees have because they’re forced to get it just to use their time.

For vacation, (which can be long unpaid hours in upper level claims) it must be scheduled. Lower level claims adjuster are likely to cram all of the work into 7.75 hours and if more time is needed, you must give details since it’s hourly even though they recognize the workload.
